Philosophy of Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology

Who Can Submit?

Anyone may submit an original manuscript to be considered for publication in Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology provided he or she owns the copyright to the work being submitted or is authorized by the copyright owner or owners to submit the manuscript. Authors are the initial owners of the copyrights to their works before publication (an exception in the non-academic world to this might exist if the authors have, as a condition of employment, agreed to transfer copyright to their employer).

General Submission Rules

Submitted articles cannot have been previously published, nor be forthcoming in an archival journal or book (print or electronic). Please note: "publication" in a working-paper series does not constitute prior publication. In addition, by submitting material to Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology, the author is stipulating that the material is not currently under review at another journal (electronic or print) and that he or she will not submit the material to another journal (electronic or print) until the completion of the editorial decision process at Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology. Rights for Authors and Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology (PAJR)

As further described in our submission agreement (the Submission Agreement ), in consideration for publication of the article, the authors assign to Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology (PAJR) all copyright in the article. The journal uses an non-exclusive licensing agreement. 

General Terms and Conditions of Use

Users of the Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology (PAJR) website and/or software agree not to misuse the Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology (PAJR) service or software in any way.

The failure of Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology (PAJR) to exercise or enforce any right or provision in the policies or the Submission Agreement does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any term of the Submission Agreement or these policies is found to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the court should endeavor to give effect to the parties' intentions as reflected in the provision, and the other provisions of the Submission Agreement and these policies remain in full force and effect. These policies and the Submission Agreement constitute the entire agreement between Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology (PAJR) and the Author(s) regarding submission of the Article.

Advertising Principles

These principles, developed jointly by editorial and publishing staff, are applied by the Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology to ensure adherence to the highest ethical standards of advertising and to determine the eligibility of products and services for advertising in the Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology’s print and digital publications.
The appearance of advertising in the Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology publications is neither a guarantee nor an endorsement by the Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology or the Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology publication of the product or the claims made for the product in such advertising. The fact that an advertisement for a product, service, or company has appeared in the Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology publication shall not be referred to in collateral advertising. As a matter of policy, the Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology will sell advertising space in its publications when the inclusion of advertising does not interfere with the mission or objectives of the Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology or its publications.
To maintain the integrity of the Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology publications, advertising (ie, promotional material, advertising representatives, companies, or manufacturers) cannot influence editorial decisions or editorial content. Decisions to sell advertising space are made independently of and without information pertinent to specific editorial content. the Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology publications’ advertising sales representatives have no prior knowledge of specific editorial content before it is published. Placement of advertising adjacent to (i.e., next to or within) editorial content on the same topic is prohibited.

Eligibility and Requirements

  1. The Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology reserves the right to decline any submitted advertisement or to discontinue publication of any advertisement previously accepted. By submitting ads for consideration, all advertisers agree to the Principles Governing Advertising in Publications of the Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology.
  2. Products or services eligible for advertising shall be germane to, effective in, and useful in (a) the practice of medicine, (b) medical education, and/or (c) health care delivery and shall be commercially available.
  3. In addition to the above, products and services that are offered by responsible advertisers that are of interest to physicians, other health professionals, and consumers are also eligible for advertising.
  4. Institutional advertising germane to the practice of medicine and public service messages of interest to physicians may be considered eligible for appearance in the Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology publications.
  5. Equipment, Instruments, and Devices: the Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology determines the eligibility of advertising for products intended for preventive, diagnostic, or therapeutic purposes. Complete scientific and technical data concerning the product’s safety, operation, and usefulness may be required. These data may be either published or unpublished. Samples of equipment, devices, or instruments should not be submitted. the Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology reserves the right to decline advertising for any product that is involved in litigation with a governmental agency concerning claims made in the marketing of the product.
  6. Books: A book may be requested for review to determine its eligibility to be advertised.
  7. Web Site and Digital Publications: The current standards for ensuring the editorial integrity of print publications apply to advertising in electronic publications and derivative products, such as online journals, CD-ROMs, Web sites, and online databases, especially for publications in clinical and health-related fields.

Advertisement policies

At the Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology, we recognize the importance of responsible and ethical advertising to maintain the integrity and quality of our publication. Our advertising policy reflects our commitment to uphold the highest standards of editorial independence, scientific rigor, and ethical principles. The following guidelines outline the criteria for accepting advertisements within our journal:

  1. Advertisements submitted to the Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology must adhere to the highest ethical standards. They should not promote or endorse any products, services, or organizations that are engaged in activities considered unethical, illegal, or harmful to individuals, society, or the environment.
  2. Advertisements must not contain any false or misleading information and should be factually accurate. Claims made in advertisements should be supported by scientific evidence and reliable sources.
  3. The Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology maintains complete editorial independence from commercial influence. Advertisers are not entitled to influence the journal's editorial content, including the selection, review, or prioritization of research articles. The acceptance or rejection of advertising will not affect editorial decisions.
  4. Advertisements for products, services, or organizations must be relevant to the scientific community and aligned with the interests of our readers. Advertisements should be professionally designed and submitted under our publication's technical specifications and deadlines. All advertisements are subject to review by our editorial board to ensure compliance with our advertising policy.
  5. Advertisements that are obscene, offensive, defamatory, or that promote hate speech or discrimination based on race, religion, gender, or other protected characteristics will not be accepted. Advertisements related to tobacco, alcohol, firearms, or other controversial or potentially harmful products are not accepted.
  6. Advertisers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest or financial relationships that could be perceived as affecting the impartiality of the advertisement. This includes financial support for research studies mentioned in the advertisement.
  7. Advertisements will be clearly distinguished from editorial content through appropriate labeling, placement, and design to ensure transparency for our readers.
  8. The Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology reserves the right to reject any advertisement that does not meet our ethical standards, is incompatible with our mission, or is not in the best interest of our readers. We may also request modifications to meet our criteria.

Our goal at the Pan Arab Journal of Rhinology is to maintain the highest level of credibility and trust among our readers, contributors, and the scientific community. This advertising policy is intended to ensure that any advertisements featured in our journal uphold these principles and contribute positively to the scientific discourse.
