Abstract
Paranasal balloon catheter represents a recently developed tool which enables surgeons to dilate the sinus ostia while maximizing tissue preservation. In this study forty patients were divided into two groups: (A) and (B). Patients in group (A) (20 patients) were treated using balloon sinuplasty technique, while patients in group (B) (20 patients) were treated using the standard functional endoscopic sinus surgery. Pre and post-operative findings in each group regarding the symptoms and endoscopic findings were compared. A comparison between the postoperative results of both groups was done as well.
